YJ: Brother Blood

"NightFall don't do this. You have to fight him! You're strong than that!" 

Nightwing's words fell on deaf ears, an ominous laugh echoing in the background as Brother Blood stood firm, a cruel smirk on his lips. The raven snarled and struggled to keep hold himself up. He was covered in various lacerations and bruises, courtesy of the mind-controlled waterbender standing before him. Nightwing had done his best to put up a fight, but he feared hurting the girl so he held back. 

That might not have been the best move. 

"Please, 'Anna," He pleaded, resorting to using his favored nickname for her and a small amount of hope began to rise up in him as she faltered, "You need to fight him. You need to take control back! You can do it!" 

NightFall paused her advance. Water swirled and danced around her arm, drops splashing softly on the ground below. The girl looked calm on the outside, eyes glowing a dull red, face devoid of any emotion, but on the inside was a whole other story. She fought back, tugging at control and willing Brother Blood to relinquish her from his hold. She struggled and fought, heeding Nightwing's words of courage and repeating them to herself as a form of willpower.

Just as she felt herself slowly gaining control, the villainous man proved to be more powerful as control was snatched away from her, leaving a sharp pain in her mind as her body once again began to move without her command. 

"Please, your mind is beneath mine. You will not be gaining control anytime soon, young one."

Nightwing's heart sank as he watched the girl he loved stalk towards him, hellbent on ending him. There wasn't any hope in sight for him- what with the Team being out of contact due to the mind link being down and the comms being jammed. NightFall and him had been unlucky enough to run into Brother Blood himself, and now it was going to be his end. 

"Now finish him!"

I was reading Teen Titan fanfics earlier because, if we're being honest, I've pretty much read all the Young Justice fics FFnet has to offer so I jumped into the Teen Titans fandom for a bit. I found some good ones and they included Brother Blood- who I've heard of before and decided to do a mind-control thing with because what's better than one of your OTP trying to unwillingly kill the other? ^^ 

So I'm actually super proud of how this turned out~! Especially Nightwing because Superboy is a bitch to work with...
